Bana Ba Letsatsi - “the sunshine children”

Bana Ba Letsatsi is dear to our hearts. It is a rehabilitation centre for orphans and vulnerable children based in Maun, Botswana. Their mission is to empower these vulnerable children to reach their full potential by creating a safe and compassionate environment, with support and access to education.

Roger Dugmore safaris for the past 10 years has worked closely with Bana Ba Letsatsi to directly benefit this centre. This includes taking over 10 field trips/filming with their students for a South African children film series called, “Siyaya come wild with us” and Canoeing down the Boteti River to raise funds for donations all directly benefitting the centre.

For the future, we plan to continue this direct engagement with Banabaletsatsi and will make direct donations for each guest traveling on our mobile safaris.

Happy world cheetah day! 🐆

Botswana hosts the world’s largest population of Cheetahs, with an estimated population of 1700 individuals. This accounts for approximately 25% of the world’s remaining wild cheetahs.

This unique predator is the fastest land mammal on earth reaching speeds up to 64 miles (102kms) in 3 seconds.

We are very grateful and appreciative to see these magical animals in their natural habitat.
